Single-Point Diamond Turning (SPDT)

Diamond turning is an ultra-precision machining process that uses a single-crystal diamond cutting tool to produce high-quality optical components. This process creates optics with extremely smooth surfaces and highly accurate shapes, reducing the need for polishing while meeting the strict performance requirements of infrared (IR) and visible light applications.

Multi-axis CNC

Multi-axis CNC machining enables the production of complex parts with intricate geometries, precision finishes, and tight tolerances. It provides consistent, repeatable, high-volume manufacturing while allowing the fabrication of highly detailed components for demanding industrial applications.

Grinding/Polishing/Lapping

Optical polishing and lapping are precision finishing processes used to achieve exceptional optical quality. Polishing produces an ultra-smooth, highly reflective surface with low transmitted wavefront error, certified scratch-dig quality, and precise surface flatness. Lapping removes more material to improve surface geometry while providing a smooth matte finish. Both processes follow grinding and enable the consistent production of high-quality lenses, windows, and other optical components in both prototype and high-volume manufacturing.
